Myrtle Beach’s Sleeping Policeman, the musical project of Charles Grace, is poised to follow-up his 2014 album, Anticipation, on May 2nd with the release of The Bride in the Wilderness. A concept album taking inspiration from the Book of Job, the album promises to explore themes of hope, redemption, and questioning the reason for suffering.
As a Valentine’s Day treat, Grace dropped “Donor of Seeds” to give listeners a taste of the upcoming record.
Fans of Manchester Orchestra and All Get Out will find plenty to love in Grace’s calming voice. “Donor of Seeds” shines with blues-inspired wandering guitar solos that defy your typical rock single song structure while maintaining a head-bobbing, methodical melody. Seeped in a balmy atmosphere perfect for late night drives, this first single brings considerable hype for The Bride and The Wilderness and will certainly have listeners counting down the days for more new Sleeping Policeman tracks.
